Prague and Berlin: Together for a Vibrant Center and Better Public Space
In April, Prague became the meeting place of two metropolises. We welcomed representatives of the Berlin association AG City Berlin, building on our trip to Germany last year. This esteemed visit reaffirmed a partnership that mutually inspires our approach to modern city development.
Over two intensive days, we exchanged experiences on how to care for the "heart" of the city, manage public spaces, and support local communities. We demonstrated to our guests how the Prague New Town Association (Sdružení Nového Města pražského) operates directly in the field. We shared our experiences with the everyday care of Wenceslas Square and its surroundings, presented major development projects, and highlighted our close cooperation with the municipal district. In return, our colleagues from Berlin inspired us with their operational model around the famous Kurfürstendamm boulevard. The AG City Berlin association brings together over 500 members, and their strength in networking and connecting entrepreneurs with city leadership is a great role model for us.
The culmination of the entire meeting was the signing of a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement. This not only expresses the strong partnership between our two organizations but, above all, creates an official framework for our continued long-term collaboration, which we aim to keep developing. We look forward to our next joint steps!
